NAME OF THE FESTIVAL - COUNTRY
The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling and Wake is a traditional English festival that is celebrated every year at Cooper’s Hill, near Gloucester, on the last Monday of May.
It is an extreme competition in which a round Double Gloucester cheese is rolled from the top of a very steep hill, and participants run down the hill to try to catch it. The first person to reach the bottom wins the cheese as a prize.
